• Following colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy surgery, a healthcare clinician is usually the first person to assess the patient. NYHHC nurses are responsible for assisting the patient to make the best adjustment to an ostomy as possible.
• Our nurses assess, measure, provide the appropriate appliances, and reassess as needed. We also provide patient teaching and educational support as needed.
• Medicare assignment is accepted on most ostomy supplies at little to no up-front cost to you.
